Santorini, 10 years apart

Santorini is the "postcard island" that instantly comes to mind when someone thinks of Greece. It is this idyllic, quintessential landscape that feels like from a movie rather than a real place. Even as tourists from around the world flock to the island year after year, somehow, it resists being worn down by popularity.

Those deep orange sunsets and its timeless beauty still silence the crowds.

I first visited Santorini in 2014 and when the discussion arose to visit it again in 2024, I knew I wouldn't want to miss the opportunity to document the 10 years that passed by, even with a tourist's eye.

The first photo from each set was taken in 2014, using a Canon 450D and a 18-55mm kit lens. The second photo from the sets was taken in 2024, almost on the same week, in July, using a Fujifilm X-T5, a Fujifilm 23mm f/2 lens, and a Viltrox 56mm f/1.7 lens.
