Blue Collar - Work in Progress

I love blue collar workers.

They are the people who build, repair, serve and maintain the world around us. Every road we travel, every building we enter, and every service we rely on exists because of the skill, dedication, and effort of these people.

Also, much of blue collar work is defined by waiting. A server at a music festival may spend hours standing behind a counter, watching crowds pass by, ready to smile and serve the next customer. Security guards, ticket collectors, cleaners, and maintenance crews often experience the same stretches of repetition highlighted by brief moments of activity.

These quiet, mundane moments are rarely noticed, yet they reveal something I can't yet define, but I find very fascinating.

This is a photo project dedicated to them.
